Department of Psychology

Abigail Agyemang is a Psychology PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge in the Centre for Neuroscience in Education (CNE), part of the Centre for Child, Adolescent and Family Research (CAFR) in the Department of Psychology. Her research is focussed on Mathematics Anxiety in underrepresented secondary school pupils and is fully-funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). She is under the supervision of Professor Dénes Szücs and co-supervised by Associate Professor Ros McLellan in the Faculty of Education. Abigail graduated with a First Class MSci (Hons) degree in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL).

Before starting her PhD, Abigail worked as a Research Assistant at various universities including UCL, RHUL, and Queen Mary University of London. She has also worked as an Assistant Psychologist within CAMHS Neurodevelopmental and Intellectual Disabilities services in Oxford Health NHS Trust and Acute Adult Mental Health services in Central and Northwest London (CNWL) NHS Trust.
