Congratulations to our Professors!
Professor Jeff Dalley has just been awarded a GSK-University of Cambridge grant to investigate immunological mechanisms of early life adversity as a possible cause of depression and fatigue later in life. Together with Ed Bullmore and Mary-Ellen Lynall (Department of Psychiatry), Trevor Robbins, Menna Clatworthy (Department of Medicine) and Manon Wildenberg (University of Amsterdam), this research aims to understand how peripheral and central inflammation associated with uncontrollable stress contributes to the depressive phenotypes of apathy, fatigue and blunted incentive motivation.
