Department of Psychology

A book edited by Senior Lecturer, Dr Jason Rentfrow, has just been published by the American Psychological Association. The book, Geographical psychology: exploring the interaction of environment and behavior, investigates how the social and physical environments in which people live affect their behaviour and their interactions with others.

Dr Rentfrow's research interests include culture and ethnicity, the Internet and virtual psychology, personality, individual differences, political psychology, research methods, and social networks.  He has worked on a number of online studies, including The Big Personality Test, part of the BBC's Lab UK, which was launched to encourage public engagement with science.
