Yining completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (MA) at the University of Edinburgh and her Master’s degree in Child Development and Education (MSc) at the University of Oxford. Her research examines caregivers’ mentalising and children’s socio-emotional development, with a focus on how these factors shape children’s adjustment, resilience, and their social relationships. She is particularly interested in key transitional periods, such as the transition to siblinghood and experiences of being left behind by migrant parents.
