Eddie Xiao is an MPhil student supervised by Dr Becky Lawson, at the Prediction and Learning lab. He studied BA Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, where his undergraduate research project focused on Bayesian views of emotional valence and affect-motor interactions. His current project is part of the Cambridge Research into Autism and Anxiety. He is mainly interested in studying affective biases and how people learn about reward and punishment under uncertainty. Other research interests include the reciprocal interactions between emotional valence and uncertainty, dimensional approaches to psychiatric symptoms, as well as comparison across reinforcement learning tasks.
