Department of Psychology

Head of Department, Professor Trevor Robbins, is currently in the United States where he is presenting a series of lectures.

The lecture tour, based in Boston, Massachusetts, began on Friday 19th April with a Behavioral Pharmacology Society after-dinner talk entitled 'The Future of Behavioral Pharmacology'. 

Following this, on Sunday 21st, Professor Robbins presented a symposium talk at the ASPET Meeting at EB2013 on 'Translational approaches to cognitive enhancing drugs for neuropsychiatric disorders'.

On Monday 22nd Professor Robbins was at the Harvard-MIT Broad Institute, where he spoke on 'Translational neuropsychopharmacology".

The final engagement of the tour was yesterday, Wednesday 24th, when he gave the Harvard Psychology Department Colloquium on "Impulsivity and compulsivity: neural basis and psychiatric implications".

Following this intensive week of lecturing Professor Robbins will return to the UK on Saturday 27th April.
