Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology is delighted to announce that three of its academic staff have been promoted.

Tim Bussey has been promoted to the rank of Professor.  Tim is a Principal Investigator in the Translational Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, in which the touchscreen method for cognitive testing of rodents was devised. Using methods he has developed in his research into the organization of brain function, Tim is currently investigating potential therapeutic agents for the treatment of psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases.

Jeff Dalley has been promoted to Reader.  Jeff's research interests include behavioural and cognitive neuroscience, psychopharmacology and neuromodulation of limbic cortico-striatal brain circuitry. Currently, he is investigating individual differences in behaviour with particular reference to drug abuse and addiction.

Greg Davis has been promoted to Senior Lecturer.  Greg, who is Group Leader in the Visual Cognition Lab, investigates conscious visual processing and its relation to unconscious processes. His current research focus is on the nature of free will.

All three promotions are extremely well-deserved. Tim, Jeff, and Greg have each made tremendous contributions to research in their respective fields, and are highly respected teachers, mentors and colleagues.
