Department of Psychology

A new collection of poetry by the Department of Psychology's Reader in Cognitive Development and master of the pen, Dr James Russell, was published this week by the Like This Press.

In Neurotrash, James Russell takes a satirical sidelong glance at popular neuroscience with his distinctively vivid and intense poetry. Martin Stannard writes that what has been accomplished is "...a pleasing blend of the imagination working with the stuff of the real world", and that Neurotrash is "...a breath of fresh air."

James Russell's other poetry publications include The Sixty-Four Seasons (Oleander, 2004), Properly Nuanced (Knives Forks and Spoons Press, 2012), and Arnos Grove (Waterloo Press, 2012).
