The Department was saddened to hear of the death of Professor Alan Cowey FRS, Emeritus Professor of Physiological Psychology at the University of Oxford. Professor Cowey was a University Demonstrator at Cambridge from 1962-1967. He was celebrated for his research in vision, especially 'blindsight', in which he first became involved when he was working in the Department.
