Research
I am a cognitive neuroscientist interested in language processing. I lead the ‘Brain, Language and Bilingualism’ lab, where we use behavioural and neuroimaging techniques to explore the mechanisms of spoken language comprehension, and aim to understand how they might have evolved.
The other major strand of my research is bilingualism. This complementary line of work investigates the neuroplastic adaptations that enable speakers to learn and use multiple languages.
