Please complete the form and amend/add any information as required (e.g. building and room number) on your first day in the building.
Stage 2 – Welcome pack and visit to the Reception at the Main Building
The Receptionist will outline the processes relating to incoming and outgoing post, the University’s telephone and look up system and general administrative processes which you may need to know about during your stay. For your own safety and wellbeing and that of others, it is important that you read and act on the information contained within the Welcome pack.
Stage 3 – Building Services
You will need to visit the Building Services team (on the ground floor in the Main Building, Downing Site) to have your University Card validated for access to the relevant departmental buildings (Downing site) and/or the Reception at New Museums site, Free School Lane for access to that building.
If you are staying in the Department for under 3 months, please ask the Building Services team (Downing Site) or Reception (New Museums site) for a temporary access card. The Building Services team can also provide you with office keys.
If you feel you may have difficulty evacuating a building in an emergency, please let James Glasberg (jg286@cam.ac.uk) know so that a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan can be drawn up for you.
Stage 4 – Email access
A University email account has been set up for you if you have requested this. Registration details, together with a guidance document ‘IT Matters @ Cambridge’ will be emailed to you before your visit. If you have any difficulties accessing your account, please contact the University Computing Service (service-desk@ucs.cam.ac.uk). If you have any IT queries whilst in the Department please email the IT Team (computing_requests@psychol.cam.ac.uk).

And finally
If you have any queries during your stay please contact your supervisor in the first instance, or email the HR Visitor & Compliance Administrator: visitor.hr.compliance@psychol.cam.ac.uk
