Congratulations to Dr Emma Cahill, who has been awarded a BBSRC Anniversary Future Leaders Fellowship (AFLF).
The AFLF, which was launched to coincide with the 20th anniversary of BBSRC, will provide support for researchers wishing to undertake independent research and gain leadership skills. The AFLF will support the transition of early stage researchers to fully independent research leaders. As such AFLFs represent a commitment to the supply of highly skilled professional scientists to the UK.
Using the award, Emma will continue her research program into studying the underlying substrates and mechanisms of memory retrieval, particularly memories associated with fearful events.
