Department of Psychology

Chloe is studying a PhD in Psychology. Their research is based in the Visual Cognition Lab with their supervisor Dr Greg Davis, and focuses on social cognition. This research follows from their MPhil completed last year within the Visual Cognition Lab, specifically studying social interaction, gaze perception and theory of mind in the context of Zoom meetings, to broadly investigate whether social interaction on Zoom is comparable to face-to-face social interaction.

Chloe is a recipient of the Alexander Crummell PhD Scholarship from Queen’s College, after Queens' extended their funding of Chloe's studies after selecting Chloe as the first Alexander Crummell Master's Scholar last year. Chloe is also involved in outreach with Queens’ College to support other disadvantaged students’ applications to the scholarship and welcome new recipients of the scholarship.

Chloe has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Birmingham, where their undergraduate research project investigating social perception of body pairs was the University of Birmingham nominee for the Experimental Psychology Society Undergraduate Prize Award.
