This is a demonstration of the influence of the outer hair cell contraction on cochlear
mechanics.

There are six animations:

	1. Outer hair cell (OHC) with no contraction.
	2. An OHC with contraction in-phase with the stereocilia deflection.
	3. An OHC with contraction 90 deg. out-of-phase with the stereocilia deflection.
	4. A cochlear partion in motion, with no OHC contraction.
	5. A cochlear partion in motion, with in-phase OHC contraction.
	6. A cochlear partion in motion, with 90 degree out-of-phase OHC contraction.

Follow the instructions provided and press Ctrl C when you are ready to move from one
animation to another. Pressing the space bar while in an animation will allow you to
proceed one frame at a time.

Many thanks to Dr. Stephen Neely for programming and supplying the animation.
