Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology received a Silver Award in the University's third Green Impact Award ceremony, which took place yesterday, 10 June 2015. The event was held in the fitting venue of the University's Botanic Garden, and it was hosted by the Environment and Energy Section.

To win a Silver Award, members of Department have taken many practical steps to reduce the environmental impact of their work activities. They have also had some fun going green, donning chunky jumpers on Thermal Thursday, and doing the Big Green Quiz (BGQ).

The winner of the BGQ was Angela Daubney, who scored 100%. Gwyneth Zai was also named a BGQ winner, for the best green idea. Gwyneth suggested a number of ways to reduce the amount of paper used in the Department. Well done, Angela and Gwyneth!

The Green Impact Committee is always pleased to welcome new members from within the Department. There is a form for new members (and new green ideas) on the Department's Green Impact webpage.
