In the interview, Usha explains how research has revealed that dyslexia is a language disorder rather than a visual disorder, and that it is not linked to intelligence. Usha describes how parents and carers can offer early remediation to children with dyslexia by exposing them to poetry, singing and music, to help them to match syllable beat patterns to language. She stresses that although early intervention is best, it is never too late to intervene to help children with dyslexia. The interview, published on 9th May 2015, is available to read here:
