The Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning in the Scottish Parliament, Angela Constance, announced yesterday the appointment of Professor Michael Lamb to Scotland's Historic Child Abuse Inquiry panel. Professor Lamb, who is a leading expert on child abuse, will conduct the work of the Inquiry with fellow panel member, Glen Houston, and Inquiry Chair, Susan O'Brien QC.

Professor Lamb leads the Applied Developmental Psychology Research Group, and is editor of the journal, Psychology, Public Policy, and Law, published by the American Psychological Association. He is a prolific author, and is one of the volume editors of the seventh edition of the major textbook, Handbook of Child Psychology and Developmental Science, published by John Wiley, earlier this year.

The appointment of the Historic Child Abuse Inquiry panel was reported in Scottish Legal News.
