It is with sadness that the Department has been advised of the death of Ron
(Hutch) Hutchison who passed away suddenly at home on Thursday 8th January 2015 aged 82 years. Ron, or Hutch as he was known to his many friends and colleagues around the University, worked for the Department of Experimental Psychology for 41 years as Chief Animal Technician, retiring in 1997. During his time in the Department, Hutch worked with many key researchers in neuroscience, assisting them with pioneering neurosurgical techniques. Hutch will be remembered by his colleagues for his quiet, serene efficiency and diligent work as well as his sensitivity in interactions with others.
