The 25th Cambridge Neuroscience Seminar, hosted by the Department of Zoology, will be held on Tuesday 26th March 2013, in the Babbage Lecture Theatre, Cambridge. This year, the theme is 'From Sensation to Action' with sessions covering both sensory and motor systems.

We have confirmed many distinguished local and international speakers including Professor Johan Bolhuis (Utrecht University) who will deliver the Professor Sir Gabriel Horn Memorial Lecture in association with the BNA and Professor Silvia Arber (University Of Basel). We have introduced a new item this year where 2 early career researchers will be given the opportunity to speak about their work. Please see the full programme here.

The aim of this annual meeting is to give a snapshot into the extent of neuroscience research here in Cambridge and how it fits into the broader context of neuroscience worldwide. The day will conclude with a public plenary lecture entitled 'Design Principles for Neuroprosthetics' given by Professor José del Millán (Lausanne), to coincide with the Cambridge Science Festival.

Last year's event was attended by over 420 neuroscientists from across Cambridge, with great presentations, discussions and over 90 scientific posters on display. Registration fees include refreshments, lunch, and an evening wine reception, in addition to admittance to all talks. Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend the Gala conference dinner, which will be held at Downing College (additional cost will apply).
