Two members of the Department will be appearing on a Naked Scientists Live show at the Cambridge Science Centre this Wednesday, 28 May.
Richard O'Connor and Susan Richards will be on a panel of five, and the subject under discussion will be learning and development. The show will be a combination of interviews, questions from the audience, and demonstrations and experiments performed by panel members.
Richard O'Connor is a PhD student in the Cambridge Developing Cognition Lab. Richard studies learning in babies, and he investigates how learning can transfer from one task to another.
Susan Richards is a PhD student in the Centre for Neuroscience in Education. Her main research interest is in how rhythm problems affect language acquisition in children with Specific Language Impairment. Susan is also a Speech and Language Therapist.
The show has already sold out. As with all Native Scientist broadcasts, it will be available as a Science Podcast.
