Eminent psychologist, Professor Walter Mischel, who is Niven Professor of Humane Letters in Psychology at Columbia University, will present a special Zangwill Club talk in October, entitled 'The Marshmallow Test: Understanding self-control and how to master it'.

Professor Mischel, whose research focuses upon personality (development, process and structure), and self regulation, will be on tour in the UK during October to promote his new book, also entitled, 'The Marshmallow Test: Understanding self-control and how to master it'. Details of the forthcoming book are available on the publisher's website. We are thrilled that Professor Mischel has found time during his busy book tour schedule to present a Zangwill Club talk.

The talk will take place on Monday 13 October at 15:00 in the Lecture Theatre of the Department of Psychology. There will be a wine reception (and possibly even some marshmallows), in the Second Floor Seminar Room, following the talk. For further information, visit Talks.cam. For the full Zangwill Club programme, see Zangwill Club talks.
