Dr Gonzalo Urcelay is leaving the Department of Psychology to take up the permanent post of Lecturer in Psychology at the Department of Neuroscience, Psychology and Behaviour, in the University of Leicester.
Having joined the Department in 2008 as a postdoctoral researcher, Gonzalo was promoted to the post of Teaching Associate in 2011. In his Learning and Behaviour course, Gonzalo taught undergraduates about predictive and causal learning processes and their interaction with motivational mechanisms to control basic conditioned behaviour as well as goal-directed action. He also gave practical classes in prediction error learning.
Gonzalo will be missed by colleagues and students alike, and he is wished a very fond farewell. Gonzalo can be contacted by email at gonurcelay@gmail.com.
