In the latest issue of the BNA Bulletin (Issue No. 73, Spring 2015), Professor Lorraine K Tyler looks at how the human brain makes sense of the sensory information that it receives, in her feature article, The search for meaning. Professor Tyler, who has been leading a large-scale study of adults aged from 18 to 80 since 2010 (the Cam-CAN study), also talks about the ageing brain in the article, and challenges the commonly held view that ageing inevitably brings with it a decline in all areas of cognition.
