Department of Psychology

Former PhD Student Dr Dario Krpan, who recently completed his thesis on “Approach and avoidance motivations and the perception of valenced stimuli” under the supervision of Dr Simone Schnall, has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics. He will be joining the newly formed Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science, starting September 1st, 2017.

The department was created through the expansion of the previous Department of Social Psychology to consolidate and further develop the LSE's role as a world leader in the researching and teaching of behavioural science; it will become a hub for the 50+ psychological and behavioural researchers in other disciplines across the LSE as well as a cutting-edge centre of expertise in its own right. Dr. Krpan will be involved in teaching at the Executive MSc in Behavioural Science, and he will continue developing his expertise on how different motivational states influence people's behaviour and perception of their environment.
