Department of Psychology

Dr. van der Linden is organising the "Cambridge Risk and Uncertainty Conference (RUC), which will take place 12 - 14th June 2017 at Churchill College. The theme revolves around post-truth and the psychology of risk and judgement under uncertainty. The event is sponsored by the Cambridge Social Decision-Making Lab, the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA), the Winton Centre for Risk and Evidence Communication and King's College Centre for Risk Management.

Psychology speakers include: Elke Weber (Princeton University), Eric Johnson (Columbia University), Nicholas Pidgeon MBE (Cardiff), Stephan Lewandowsky (Bristol and UWA), David Budescu (Fordham), Nigel Harvey (UCL), Peter Ayton (Citi London), Adam Pearson (Pomona, USA), Adam Harris (UCL), Simone Schnall (Cambridge), Theresa Marteau (Cambridge) and Kai Ruggeri (Cambridge). Sir David Spiegelhalter will deliver the opening keynote.

The event is sold out but please contact Dr. van der Linden if of interest, he has reserved a few spots for interested members of the department (graduate students are welcome to attend).
