Dr Sander van der Linden joins us from Princeton University where he directed the Social and Environmental Decision-Making Lab. Prior to Princeton, he was a visiting scholar at Yale University and received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Dr. van der Linden's research interests include social norms and influence, social judgment and decision-making, prosociality and altruism, environmental psychology, behavioural policy, and quantitative methods for the behavioral sciences. His research has received awards from institutions such as the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI). Dr. van der Linden has just been nominated by Pacific Standard magazine as one of the '30 Top Thinkers under 30', an annual list which recognizes intellectuals in the social and behavioral sciences who are likely to shape society's big ideas in years to come.
