An online tool, Semantic Scholar, built by the non-profit Allen Institute for Artifical Intelligence  in Seattle, Washington parsed 2.5 million articles to calculate a score which reflected each author's influence in the field of neuroscience. Trevor Robbins came in at number four. Semantic Scholar promotes itself as a sophisticated alternative to Google Scholar and went live in November 2015, focusing on computer science. It has only recently expanded to incorporate neuroscience and plans to include all medical research by December 2017.
